Hi, my name is Shaida, or most people call me Shai. I absolutely love the Lord, his people, and studying the word of God. I could nerd out on just talking about everything from Genesis to Revelation for the rest of my life. I also happen to be a wife, a mom, a writer, a teacher, a singer, a binger of books, seafood, and 90's sitcoms, as well as an unpaid travel agent and event planner for my family. I started writing in my teens and published my first novel in 2013 called Idle, Wild, Love. Since then I've published several works including the Children of Eden (2015) and Bloom (2018). In 2020, I married the love of my life Micah R. Whitley and we had a daughter, Brielle, in 2022.

When I'm not writing, teaching a class, or chasing after my toddler, I can be found trying to get some much needed rest!
